What is Apricot Kernel Oil?
Derived from the popular and delicious apricot kernel, apricot kernel oil is best known as a carrier oil that can moisturize dry, sensitive skin by smoothing out wrinkles, fine lines, and other signs of aging. Due to its anti-inflammatory properties, this oil absorbs quickly into the skin without leaving a greasy residue, making it a fast healer for chapped, dry skin, blemishes, or flaking skin. With such a high concentration of vitamins and minerals, apricot seed oil not only locks in moisture for the skin, but actually fights any blemishes and reduces inflammation associated with breakouts. The oil can mimic the natural sebum in the skin, gently treating blemished skin without causing an imbalance in sebum production in the outer layer of the skin.
Side Effects of Apricot Kernel Oil
There are no known serious side effects of using this oil in your daily life. If you have any concerns, we recommend that you consult a dermatologist and perform a patch test on the inner forearm before applying it to the skin.
